For a rapidly growing restaurant chain like Fuzzy’s, modern networking capabilities are a must. Point-of-sale systems (POS) must be online 24/7 to process card payments and accept online orders. Digital signage attracts potential customers and must be frequently updated with the latest specials remotely. Other IoT devices like music systems and smart appliances need an agile, secure network to function properly. When you factor in the plan to expand service into more than 11 states through several new locations, having the ability to scale operations up quickly without sacrificing security is an uncompromisable need.
Solution
In each of its existing restaurants, Fuzzy’s deployed Cradlepoint’s NetCloud Service for branch locations. This included routing, WAN link termination, traffic management, firewall, cloud configuration, and support via a single LTE-embedded router.
This solution also enabled Fuzzy’s IT team to seamlessly support hundreds of restaurants from a single location without the need for truck rolls.
